Police believe they know who killed a 9-year-old Milwaukee girl in May of last year.

A recently unsealed search warrant shows police have multiple suspects in the shooting death of Za’Layia Jenkins.

The warrant said three suspects were spotted near 15th and Meinecke, where Jenkins was killed. Witnesses believed they were part of a possible drug deal, and one witness said she yelled at them until they drove away.

The suspects later returned with an AR 15, a rifle and a pistol, according to another witness, who said they heard gunshots shortly after seeing the suspects with the guns.

The warrant also requests information from a cell phone to potentially get more information on the suspects’ communication before and after the murder.

Jenkins was inside a relative’s home when she was hit by a bullet fired from outside just before her 10th birthday.

There is a $65,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
