Milwaukee named top place to trick-or-treat

Milwaukee has been named one of the top places to trick-or-treat in the nation, according to Zillow.com.

"I usually get about 500 kids and we give out hot toddy's to the adults so I think I have just as many adults as kids," said Michele Price, who lives on the city's west side.
Zillow's methodology isn't necessarily weighted by who has the best candy. It's where kids can get the most candy in the least amount of time, and in the safest neighborhood.

Javier Alvarez lives on 72nd and Locust. He isn't surprised to find Milwaukee so high on the list.

"You feel safe walking around here. You don't have cars racing through. People talk and it's a friendly neighborhood,'' Alvarez said.

Zillow says the best neighborhoods for trick or treating in Milwaukee are:
  • Golden Valley
  • Polonia
  • Honey Creek Manor
  • Fairview
  • Lindsay Park
