MILWAUKEE -- Visitors to the Milwaukee County Zoo will get a unique opportunity to see the inner workings of animals up close when it hosts the "Body Worlds: Animal Inside Out" exhibit this summer.
Based on worldwide "Body Worlds" phenomenon that toured museums across the globe, "Animal Inside Out" will take visitors on an "anatomical safari" inside more than 100 specimens, providing valuable insights into the anatomy of animals both familiar and foreign.
"This exhibition, ANIMAL INSIDE OUT, is both a celebration and a homage to our co-habitants on this spinning blue globe," creator Dr. Gunther von Hagens says.
The Milwaukee County Zoo is the first North American zoo to host the exhibition, according to their website.
Tickets for the special event can be purchased on the zoo's website here. "Animal Inside Out" begins on May 6 and runs until September 4. Adults will pay $10, while children ages 3 to 12 are $8.
