MILWAUKEE -- Hard to believe it, but Christmas is around the corner.
To celebrate, the city of Milwaukee is accepting nominations for its 2016 Christmas Tree.
The tree will be displayed at City Hall in downtown Milwaukee.
Here's the requirements:
- Eligible trees must be located in the City of Milwaukee
- The ideal tree should be 30 to 40 feet tall
- The tree must be accessible for harvest with a crane, meaning no overhead wires present to interfere with the process.
The tree candidates will be judged on:
- Size
- Shape
- Uniformity
- Density
- Color
Residents who wish to have their tree considered should contact the city of Milwaukee at 286-CITY (2489) by Friday, Oct. 14.
