For those who have ever complained about having to drag themselves to the liquor store for a beer run, please direct your attention to a new service called “Miller Lite On-Demand.”

MillerCoors announced last week a new beer ordering service with which drinkers can order beer using their Amazon Echo device, either through the Alexa voice command or a programmable button based on Amazon Dash Button hardware.

According to an article on AdvertisingAge, the Milwaukee-based beer brewer has partnered with IPG Mediabrands to develop the program to fulfill requests within one hour, using the delivery service Drizly.

For now the Miller Lite button is available to 500 Drizly customers. The ordering voice command is: “start Miller Time.”

Drizly is located in 40 cities, but not currently in Milwaukee. The closest location is Chicago.

MillerCoors is not the first major beer company to play with home delivers. Michelob Ultra, the Anheuser-Busch InBev product, announced its own Alexa ordering service this month.
