WAUKESHA -- A Waukesha police officer was injured during a scuffle Thursday night.
Police were called to at approximately 11:30 p.m to a Taco Bell in Waukesha because a customer in the drive thru would not wake up.
Waukesha police said officers tried honking and knocking on the man's window, but he would not wake up.
When they finally broke his car window, officials said the 25-year-old Waterford man woke up, became resistant and tried to run away.
Police said an officer hurt his knee while trying to stop the man from leaving, but is expected to be OK.
The driver was taken to Waukesha County Jail where charges are pending for OWI and obstructing, resisting, and causing soft tissue injury to an officer.
