MILWAUKEE -- Looking to get away with the kids this summer?
Adults can now bring up to two kids, ages 2-12, onto Amtrak's Hiawatha trains for free on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through the end of August. Exceptions are on May 27 and 30, and July 1 and 4.
There are seven round-trips daily (six on Sunday) from the Intermodal Station downtown Milwaukee to Chicago, with stops at Mitchell Airport, Sturtevant, Wis. and Glenview, Ill.
Tickets must be booked online at Amtrak.com.
