RACINE — One person has died after a house fire broke out about 4:20 a.m. Tuesday in the 2500 block of Coolidge Avenue, according to the Racine Fire Department.
Racine Fire personnel got the fire under control. A dog also died in the fire.
The Racine Police and Fire departments are investigating this incident, and the scene is still active.

The fire left the front of the home near Gilson Street and Coolidge Avenue charred black. Flames from the fire also reached a neighbor's home, melting some of the siding.
