WAUEKSHA -- The homeless sex offender released from prison Tuesday has been taken back into custody, police say.

Kenneth McDonald was spotted walking on Moreland Boulevard near Hawthorne Elementary School around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. A citizen reported him, and officers took him into custody.

McDonald was taken to the Wisconsin Probation and Parole Office, where he will be detained until the the state Department of Corrections can look into the violation of his GPS requirements.

McDonald has spent more than a decade in jail for assaulting a 3-year-old and 6-year-old girl.  They were both living with him at the time. He also had hundreds of images of child porn.
