The Kenosha County Sheriff has a man in custody after a car chase that spanned Kenosha to Racine Counties.

The man is reportedly a “person of interest” in a home invasion in the village of Somers last month. The incident left two elderly people badly beaten.

“That was a terrible thing that happened to that elderly couple, if this is the perpetrator I’m glad they got them,” said Gary Langendorf.

Officers stopped the suspect and chased him into Racine County and then back into Kenosha where it crashed. The car is reportedly stolen out of Kenosha County.

The chase ended near CTH KR and 22 Avenue in Kenosha County.

Rex DuBois witnessed the chase and said it caught him off guard.

“It just barely missed me, it happened fast, bang, bang,” said DuBois.  “It was a clincher and just glad I wasn’t hit.”

Four adults and one child were in the car, and have been taken to the Kenosha Sheriff’s Department for questioning.
