OSHKOSH -- Hollywood legend and aviation enthusiast Harrison Ford will return to Wisconsin this month for a special appearance at 2016's EAA AirVenture, the EAA said Friday.

Ford has volunteered to fly Jodie Gawthrop of Westchester, Illinois, who will represent the two millionth "Young Eagle" at AirVenutre. The program, launched 24 years ago, gives young people a chance to experience flight.

Gawthrop will also receive a $7,500 flight training scholarship "to start the journey to fulfill her dream of flight," the EAA said.

Ford, an avid pilot who has supported the EAA throughout the years, served as the chairman of the Young Eagles program from 2004 to 2009. He also attended Wisconsin's Ripon College during the 1960s.

EAA AirVenture runs from July 25-31.
