MILWAUKEE -- Girl Scout cookie season is an annual tradition, and folks in southeast Wisconsin will have another option next year when it's time to fill out those order forms.
Girl Scouts of the USA announced Wednesday that a new "S'mores" cookie will join the line up of classics in 2017, along with Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, and Shortbread. It's in celebration of 100 years of Girl Scouts selling cookies.
The cookie will offer "a s'mores-inspired crispy graham cookie double-dipped in a creme icing and enrobed in a chocolatey coating." It's vegan friendly, and free of artificial colors and preservatives, Girl Scouts say.
”We’re excited to introduce this new Girl Scout S’mores cookie in honor of 100 years of selling Girl Scout Cookies,” said Christy Brown, CEO, Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast. “S’mores has been a longstanding tradition in Girl Scouts, and this cookie is a delicious way for our consumers to support girls as they learn skills essential to leadership, success, and life.”
