The woman from Milwaukee who was struck by three different vehicles and killed Monday morning in Germantown has been identified as Susie S. Pane Boyd.

Pane Boyd was employed by Andy Frain Services and assigned to a security detail at Fed Ex located at N96 W14849 County Line Rd.

She had just finished her shift and left for the day and was walking to a bus route in the westbound lanes of County Line Road, just east of Pilgrim Road and was hit by a vehicle around 6 a.m.

"Two more vehicles coming in the opposite direction also struck the subject," Police Chief Peter Hoell said.

He said it's likely none of the drivers, at the time, knew they'd hit a person.

The driver of the first vehicle stayed on scene. The other two drove off.

Police have reached one driver, who's cooperating, but the third driver is still unknown, Germantown police say.

The Wisconsin State Patrol worked to reconstruct the accident at the scene Monday.

The Germantown Fire Department also responded, and the Menomonee Falls Police Department helped with traffic control, as a portion of County Line Road remained closed for several hours.

Hoell said officers were working to notify the woman's family.

Karen Hacker lives nearby. She was getting her daughter ready for school at the time, and says she found out about the crash when her daughter's bus told them they couldn't get down her road.

"They wanted to know if I could bring my daughter to school," said Hacker.

She found out a woman had been killed. It surprised her to know someone was walking on the County Line Road at any time of day.

"It a busy road, it's a very busy road. Everybody is on their way to work or school," said Hacker. "It's very sad."

The accident remains under investigation.
