MEQUON, Wis. -- A fire severely damages a Mequon business late Monday night. Fire officials say the building is a total loss.

Firefighters responded to the corporate offices of Charter Manufacturing around 9:15 p.m. which is located near Port Washington Road and Glen Oaks Lane.

Mequon Fire Chief David Bialk said it took 32 firefighters to get the flames under control.
Bialk said wind was a huge factor making their job pretty difficult.

Firefighters stayed on the scene until early Tuesday morning to make sure hot spots didn't flare up.

The company's website said the business makes steel and iron.

No one was injured in the fire.

The cause is still under investigation.
