MILWAUKEE -- A recent string of attempted and successful car thefts in southeastern Wisconsin continued early Monday morning when at least eight would-be thieves were caught on camera breaking into a south side Milwaukee dealership.

It happened overnight at MLH Exchange near S. 29th and W. Burnham Streets. Video shared on Facebook by the dealership's owner Melih Goral shows several people break into the building, where they stole eight sets of car keys, according to police.

Luckily, the keys the thieves got their hands on were to cars that were pinned in the lot.

"They got into one of them there was a spare key here, it was a stick shift. Maybe I got lucky they couldn't drive it and take it away," said Melih Goral, MLH Exchange LLC.

A second video shows the suspects outside of the dealership. They eventually leave the area.

The same group, according to police, is believed to be responsible for another attempted burglary that same night at Ram's Auto Sales on Greenfield Avenue. They didn't get away with any cars then either.

If you have any information about these criminals, please call Milwaukee Police.
