Caledonia police say they’ve received a number of calls about vandalism and thefts from cars.
Many vehicles had the tires slashed or had phallic images or words scratched into the paint. If the car was unlocked, the vandals cut seats and wrote on the inside with a marker.
Police said the incidents started Oct. 29. Over the weekend they hit 11 cars.
Authorities are warning residents to be sure to lock their doors and pay attention to strangers in their neighborhood. Police said residents should report suspicious or illegal activity and not leave valuables in their cars.
If anyone has information regarding the incidents, please contact Capt. Brian Wall of the Caledonia Police Department at 835-4423 ext. 139.
