FOND DU LAC -- A Fond du Lac County judge is giving prosecutors until August 15th to file motions necessary to re-try the suspect in the Berit Beck murder case.
Dennis Brantner, 62, is charged with 1st degree intentional homicide for the 1990 crime. A two week trial ended last month with a hung jury.
District Attorney Eric Toney tells TODAY'S TMJ4 his investigative team is ready for a retrial, but they will consult with the Beck family first.
Brantner's attorney, Craig Powell, says he may challenge a retrial on grounds of double jeopardy, but is still ready to proceed if a new trial was granted.
