Barn 'a total loss' after fire in Town of Somers

TOWN OF SOMERS -- Multiple crews are on the scene of a barn fire in the Town of Somers.

The blaze broke out at approximately 3:45 a.m. in the 7100 block of Highway S. 

Video shows flames shooting several feet in the air and portions of the barn collapsing.

Somers Fire Chief Carson Wilkinson said when firefighters got there the building was already a total loss.  

There were no injuries. Wilkinson said the barn had farm equipment, hay and some snowmobiles inside.  

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
