EAST TROY -- Alpine Valley Music Theatre won't host any shows in 2017. The venue's manager confirmed the news to TODAY'S TMJ4 Friday.
Manager Jon Reens says the same acts who usually play Alpine Valley decided to book at different venues this year. That includes Jimmy Buffett, who usually plays the massive amphitheater, but this year is performing at Chicago's Wrigley Field.
Another Alpine Valley stalwart, Dave Matthews Band, is taking this summer off from touring.
Reens says the plan is to re-open Alpine Valley for the 2018 season. In the meantime, crews will work on maintenance projects.
