WEST ALLIS -- A new restaurant coming to West Allis this fall will focus on an all-too-often ignored American specialty: The peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

The Peanut Butter & Jelly Deli will open at 6125 W. Greenfield Ave. in West Allis, TODAY'S TMJ4 partner the Milwaukee Business Journal reported Tuesday.

Owner Michael Hottinger says the deli will offer traditional peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but also "gourmet spins" on the classic recipe. All nut butters will be ground in-house each day, and customers will be able to choose from 70 different jams and jellies, according to the Business Journal.

The venue will be open for special events as well.

"We'll have some jelly-tasting events," Hottinger said. "It will be fun, it will be a great place."

The Peanut Butter & Jelly Deli is scheduled to open later this fall.
