MILWAUKEE -- Three popular Milwaukee eateries will be featured on the Travel Channel's "Man v. Food" Monday night, according to TODAY'S TMJ4 partner the Milwaukee Business Journal.
Sobelman's Pub-n-Grill, Mader's Restaurant and Jake's Deli will all have a chance to show off their best dishes when the rebooted show returns to the airwaves on August 7.
The Business Journal's Melanie Lawder reports the 30-minute Milwaukee episode will center around Jake's Deli and whether the new host, Casey Webb, can complete the restaurant's "Commish Challenge" in 45 minutes.
"That sandwich is crafted out of two-and-a-half pounds of homemade pastrami and corned beef, topped with sauerkraut, jalapenos and Swiss cheese and served on an entire loaf of rye bread," Lawder writes. "The reward for finishing the challenge in the allotted time is a free meal, two Milwaukee Brewers tickets and your name etched into the restaurant's wall.
Sobelman's, of course, is known for its burgers and elaborate Bloody Mary creations - while Mader's focuses on traditional German fare.
Milwaukee's turn in the spotlight can be seen as part of Man v. Food's two-episode premiere beginning at 8:00 p.m. - the second one features Milwaukee.
