23-year-old man dies after being shot, crashing into Milwaukee house

MILWAUKEE --  A 23-year-old man who was shot while driving in Milwaukee crashed his vehicle into a house.

It happened in the 4700 block of N. 29th Street just before 1 a.m.

Police say the man was shot while driving a car on 29th Street. His car then busted through a fence and crashed into a house.  He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

"I heard 8-10 shots and the next thing I know bam! The car crashed into my house," the homeowner said. 

No one in the house was hurt. His neighbor, Travis Bean, said he heard about 13 shots.  

"I thought the gunshots were hitting the house because it sounded so loud like they were shooting at the house," said Bean. "I didn't see nobody. I just seen the car hit the house. I didn't see nobody run or who was shooting. None of that."  

Investigators aren't sure yet if the man died of gunshot wounds or injuries sustained in the crash.  Police continue to seek a motive and search for suspect or suspects involved.
