2 people hit by semi on I-894 in Milwaukee

UPDATE: An earlier version of this story said the victims were struck outside the vehicle. The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office issued a correction  at 1 p.m. saying they were given the wrong information.

MILWAUKEE -- Two people were struck while sitting in a disabled vehicle on I-894 early Monday.

The crash happened at approximately 4:20 a.m. on I-894 west at Cleveland Avenue.

The victims were alert when first responders arrived and were taken to the hospital.
