RACINE -- Five-year-old Daxton has already been through more than any child should ever have to: The young boy was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this month.

But thanks to a heartwarming display of support from two local police K-9 units, Daxton was all smiles Wednesday.

Both the Racine Police and Mount Pleasant Police K-9 Units visited his home, bearing several gifts from the teams as well as the chief of police. Daxton has shown interest in K-9s since last year, when K-9 TITAN and his handler paid a visit to the boy's classroom.
