TOWN OF WHEATLAND -- One person is dead after a vehicle fire in Kenosha County.
Deputies, along with Town of Wheatland Fire Department, were called at 8 a.m. Friday to the parking lot of the Best Bargains Store, 6515 352nd Ave.
A witness told a dispatcher that there was someone inside the vehicle and that some bystanders were trying to rescue them.
However, when officials arrived they were told that the person was still in the vehicle, which was engulfed in flames. The person was unable to be saved.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
