LAKE GENEVA -- One person was killed following a three-vehicle crash in Lake Geneva Tuesday night.

Officers were dispatched at approximately 4:15 p.m. to Main Street and Elmwood Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers said one vehicle had severe driver side damage. The driver, Pamela Bennett, 58, from the Town of Geneva, was taken to the hospital and later died.

Initial investigation shows that Bennett was driving west on Main Street, west of Elmwood Avenue, when she lost control of her vehicle.

Police said Bennett’s vehicle slid sideways and into the eastbound lane of traffic. Her vehicle then struck an eastbound vehicle and another vehicle then struck that same eastbound vehicle.

The drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured.

The cause of the crash has not been determined, but police said weather is believed to be a contributing factor.
